Crafting with Long Covid
THE DIFFICULTY: Claire had a long hospital stay with Covid and afterwards found she could no longer use her hands for the delicate beadwork she used to enjoy as they would cramp with any repetitive movements which required any degree of strength. Using scissors to cut elastic and cord was a particular challenge.
THE SOLUTION: We suggested that Claire tried our Long Loop Easi-Grip scissors which have a comfortable handle and easy cutting action and also our adult version of Mini Easi-Grip scissors which have a fine point for precise cutting.
THE RESULTS: Claire found the looped style handle was comfortable in her hand and as the scissors only needed minimal effort to use they were ideal for her craftwork. Having two different sized scissors meant she could do a variety of craft related tasks.
